Organized by State Key Laboratory of Physical Chemistry of Solid Surfaces (PCOSS), Xiamen University and Institute for Catalysis (ICAT), Hokkaido University, PCOSS-ICAT Joint International Symposium on Catalysis Science for Sustainable Society was held successfully in Lujiaxi Building, Xiamen University on December 9 – 10, 2016. Delegates of 12 professors and researchers from ICAT attended the symposium in Xiamen. Moreover, 13 distinguished Asian professors who are actively working in the field were invited to deliver invited talks. 39 posters were presented during the symposium.
    ICAT and PCOSS have a long time collaboration relationship. The two Institutes signed The Friendship and Academic Exchange Agreement back to 9 years ago and renewed it twice. Both are committed to promote friendship and academic collaboration through multiple ways, such as personnel exchange, joint symposium, cooperative projects. So far, the two institutes have co-organized 6 joint symposiums which took place in Hokkaido and Xiamen alternately.
