On Dec. 15-17, 2017, the International Symposium on Nano Surface/Interface and Cluster Chemistry in Energy Material Chemistry was held successfully in Xiamen University. More than fifty scholars from 11 countries attended the symposium and 32 scientific talks were delivered. The symposium is also the launching of the Nano Surface/Interface and Cluster Chemistry in Energy Material Chemistry Overseas Expertise Introduction Center for Discipline Innovation (abbreviated as 111 Center) which was newly established in 2017. The symposium provided a platform for not only the existing members in the center to know deeper for each other’s research strength for a better collaboration, and also for the members to exchange the latest research information with the experts in the field from all over the world for more extensive collaboration.
