International Symposium on Catalytic Activation and Selective Conversion of Energy-Related Molecules was held successfully

The International Symposium on Catalytic Activation and Selective Conversion of Energy-Related Molecules, which is one of the Satellite Symposia of the 16th International Congress on Catalysis was held successfully in Xiamen University on July 10-12, 2016.

Not affected by Typoon Nepartak, the opening ceremony was held as scheduled on the morning of July 11 at the science and Art Center of Xiamen University. Professor Ye Wang, Chairman of the symposium, director of the State Key Laboratory of Physical Chemistry of Solid Surface, presided over the opening ceremony. Professor Huilin Wan, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hui Lin, Party Secretary of College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering attended the opening ceremony. A total of about 150 participants attended the meeting. The scientific program consists of 7 Plenary Lectures, 23 Keynote Lectures, 14 Oral and about 50 Poster Presentations.

     

Topics and Scope of the Symposium

(1) Activation and conversion of methane and lower alkanes.
(2) Activation and conversion of CO2.
(3) Selective transformation of syngas and methanol.
(4) Selective transformation of biomass or biomass-related platform chemicals.
(5) Utilization of electric energy or solar energy for activation and conversion of energy-related molecules.
(6) Materials and nanotechnology related to the conversion of energy-related molecules.
