To celebrate Xiamen University's 100th anniversary, Advanced Materials published a Special Issue presenting a snapshot of cutting-edge research activities on materials carried out by the faculty and alumni of Xiamen University. This issue covers a broad scope of topics, including adaptive materials, biomaterials, catalytic materials, energy materials, hybrid materials, optical materials.

Professor Xu Hou and Professor Bin Ren served as the Guest Editors and wrote an editorial for the Special Issue.
