Abstract: Recently in Chem Catalysis, He and co-workers proposed the efficient conversion of methane to methanol under moderate conditions via the active O species in situ generated from photo-splitting of H₂O over Co-SrTiO₃ tandem catalysts. Using characterization techniques, the authors determined the intermediates and mechanism of the reaction.
